Piazza della Signoria - Florence, Tuscany
I got to spend an awesome couple weeks with my wonderful boyfriend in Italy ... It was winter, and coming from South Africa it was a bit of a shock to the system to say the least! Our first stop was in Arezzo, Tuscany not far from Florence and we were knee deep in snow!
Our trip took us to many cities within Italy, and the first one I am sharing is Florence. The River L'Arno was flooding due to record snow falls, and it was a stunning sight to see. Here are a few images from our 3 day stay in Florence .... a magical city that I would love to go to again, even if it is just for the ice-cream!
From the iconic the Basilica di Santa Maria del Fiore, Ponte Vecchio, The Galleria degli Uffizi, Piazza della Signoria to The Palazzo Pitti, there is so much to see and do in Florence. 3 days was simply not enough to experience it all!
HDR Photography of The Rand Club - JHB
Even though my passion for photography is normally photographing people, sometimes it is nice to try something different.
I was invited to do some HDR (High Dynamic Range) photography with a few friends one night at The Rand Club in Johannesburg. This is an amazing building, over 125 years old, founded in the fledgling town of Johannesburg in 1885.
The architecture and detail within this building is breathe-taking and they serve the most amazing food. No longer just a gentleman's club, this is a wonderful place to spend an evening with friends and loved ones.
HDR, or high dynamic range photography, is pretty amazing to do and the results are quite stunning. What I did here was take 6 photographs at different exposures and combine them to get this great effect.
Have a look and let me know what you think!
Quirky and often described as rather eccentric, I am a lover of all things beautiful. Capturing special moments and making my clients look and feel beautiful is what makes me happy!
