Charisse & Vuyani - Couple Shoot - Delta Park
In February I decided to share some love with a deserving couple so I ran a little competition to see which couple could get the most votes on their love story. It was the lovely Charisse and Vuyani that won our competition, and wow, what a beautiful couple! Our shoot was filled with lots of fun and smiles and I am delighted that they love their images! Congratulations on your engagement Charisse & Vuyani, you guys are really wonderful together! A huge thank you goes to the lovely Chris who was my hardworking assistant on the day!

Vanita Italian Bridal Lingerie We all know that if you wear sexy lingerie, you immediately feel sexy the whole day, and there is no better time than your Wedding Day to feel sexy and glamorous! We are bombarded with ideas from the Movies, and we all have the romantic notion of the groom taking our Wedding Dress off and there is a sexy something underneath. The problem is, not all of these sexy little things are practical, so I chatted to the lovely ladies from Vanita Italian Bridal Lingerie and Hosiery and asked them to give a few tips on choosing the right lingerie for your Wedding day. Bridal lingerie is sometimes overlooked with all the focus on the wedding dress, but for many years to come, your lingerie will still remind you of this special time together. It is very important to have the correct support and be comfortable under the beautiful Wedding Dress you spent so much money on.
Choosing the correct style and size is not easy, but the Vanita ladies are there to help you. Here is a guide to choosing the correct size - Lingerie Measuring Table. Contact Victoria or Virgina for more information and details of their stunning products. http://www.vanita.co.za
I met the lovely Angela and very dashing Tys at the Oakfield Farm Expo last year and was very excited when Angela contacted me and asked me to be their wedding photographer in August this year. As Tys works in Iraq, and they live 3 months apart at a time, we organised their engagement shoot for March while Tys was here for Easter. We chose the Walter Sisulu Botanical Gardens for the shoot as it is beautiful and fitted with everything they wanted. Timing was really good as Monique (Make-up by Monique) did Angela's make-up trial the morning of the shoot. Now their story is special, and you can see it the minute you spend time with them, so I asked Angela to share their story:
To Angela and Tys, its amazing working with you and to see such love between two people. I am really priviledged to be your photographer on your Wedding Day! I wish you loads of love and happiness! May your love continue to grow!
If you are interested in buying a puppy, it is really worth looking at the Conkasha Labradors, they also breed Golden Retrievers (Simaxdal Golden Retrievers). Here are a few images of the Labradors that almost licked me to death!

In November last year, Sherrie and I were asked to join a Fashion shoot with the lovely Crystle from Belle Journee Bridal. We did quite a lot of different outfits, but the one that really fascinated me was the twist wrap shirts. They are pretty amazing as there are so many different things you can do with each one, and it is a must have item in every girls closet! They fit ladies of all sizes, from tiny to pregnant and are a worth while investment! We chose the lovely Lavandou Wedding Venue as the location for the shoot as it has lots of different photo opportunities, and the owners are super helpful and accommodating. I would like to thank the models; Maryke Venter, Olivia Atkins and Genenvieve Watkins, for being so willing to try new things, and for working so hard for us! make-up was done for us by a young Make-up Artist called Angelic, and Belle Journee supplied the outfits. Should you want to purchase a twist wrap shirt or dress (ideal for bridesmaids dresses, please contact Crystle at Belle Journee . So here is a peak of some of the images we captured on the day! I was introduced to Lizelle and Werner by a friend of theirs, who just so happens to be a Make-up Artist that I absolutely adore - Make-up by Monique. My first impression of them is that they are quiet and reserved but so cute together. So once plans were in place for me to photograph their wedding in March, we organised their engagement shoot. It was a perfect afternoon in early January and we met at Delta Park in Johannesburg, which is one of my favourite places for engagement photoshoots as it is peaceful and beautiful. Lizelle and Werner looked amazing, Lizelle had her make-up done by a friend for the occasion and looked beautiful in both outfits that she had brought with. They are such an amazing couple, who were instantly at ease even though they both don't like cameras, and made my job a pleasure by listening to everything I suggested. Thank you again to my wonderful assistant Sherrie for all of the hard work getting everything ready. This was one of those shoots where you can really feel the love between the couple. To Lizelle and Werner; you guys are lovely together and one of the sweetest couples I have met. I wish you both happiness in your life together and that your love continues to grow more every day. I am very excited to photograph your wedding next month! Love C & S XXX I met this amazing couple, Evadne and Jerome at the Avianto expo in April last year, and I instantly knew there was something special about them! Evadne is such a bubbly and beautiful lady and perfectly compliments the handsome Jerome and I was very excited when they asked me to be their wedding photographer. A couple of venue changes later and we were ready to do their engagement shoot at the stunning Dainfern Country Club Golf Course. Jerome, being a keen golfer was ready to show us how to do the perfect swing, which I do not think will ever come naturally to both Sherrie (my amazing assistant) and myself! It was one of those shoots I will never forget, zooming around the course on a golf cart, praying the rain stayed away, and looking for the perfect sunset. Both Evadne and Jerome were up for a fun afternoon, and happily worked with us to get the perfect shots, and eagerly kissing whenever we asked them too! I wish the two of you all of the best in all of your future endeavors, and that your love grows exponentially during your lives together. It was amazing doing this engagement shoot with you and I can't wait for your wedding day! My lovely friend Kerusha and her hubby Terence ventured back up to Johannesburg from Durban to visit the people they left behind when they moved. It was lovely to see them again, especially as Kerusha is expecting a baby girl in January. We had a lovely baby shower on the Sunday afternoon with loads of beautiful pressies, and all of us ladies were ooohing and aaaahhing over the tiny clothes and adorable shoes. Although I don't normally do things like kiddies, family and baby bump shoots, I really couldn't resist asking them if I could do a mini shoot for them. Both Kerusha and Terence are very camera shy, and with a tight time line before they drove back to Durban, we did quick 15 min baby bump shoot in her friends garden. At first they were both nervous but we quickly got over that and had a great time! To Kerusha and Terence - you are both such amazing people, and I am so privileged to know you! I love you guys and wish you loads of happiness and love and I can't wait to meet your beautiful daughter! Here is what Kerusha had to say about the mini shoot: Thank you my amazingly talented friend for taking the pics for us. I don't think we ever had such good pictures; not even our wedding pics! I'm glad you captured this special time for us and also I'm grateful it was you. We are both not photogenic people but somehow you made us look as happy as we feel. You made us feel at ease which is hard to do when a camera is aimed at us and I can't believe how good you are at what you do. Scratch that; I totally can. You are an amazing photographer!! Love you lots. And thank you hugely!! Nikki & Fotis - Engagement Shoot - Walter Sisulu Botanical Gardens On a now rare sunny afternoon in Johannesburg, Sherrie and I met Nikki and Fotis at the Walter Sisulu Botanical Gardens for their Engagement shoot. I was immediately struck by this couple, as they were so loving and beautiful together. It was really a fun afternoon running around the gardens with a bunch of balloons in tow. I really wish the two of you all of the best for the future and I hope that you have a wonderful life together! |
